how does shopify subscription and one-time payment plans work? How does shopify handles user payments and when does the recurring payment happens on store?

Example: i get app subscription on 20th of this month. will i be change on 1 of next month and only be chanrged of these 10 days or i will be changed on every 20th of each month.
